Paper clay is potters clay mixed with recycled cellulose fibres. The use of cellulose fibres helps distribute moisture evenly throughout the clay, giving it more elasticity and strength. The  potential of paper clay has made it very popular for school use. The paper fibres also add considerable strength to the clay when dry.

Any unfortunate breakages can easily be repaired using a paper clay slip. (A slurry made up of paper clay & water). Paper clay may also be used as an air drying clay. Simply allow to dry and paint with acrylic paints.

Great for schools without access to a kiln.
