POSCA Custom Sneaker Workshop

Materials:
- A pair of white canvas sneakers
- Masking tape / Electrical tape
- POSCA Markers - Ideal tip sizes PC1MR, PC1M, PC3M, PC5M & PC7M
- Uni Pin Fine liner - Available from 0.03mm - 0.8mm tip size
- Optional:Â Art Spray / Waterproof spray for fabric
- Optional: White Gesso/Acrylic Paint

Preparation:
Tape up the base of the shoes and any other area you wish to protect. - If you are going to create artwork like shoes below, then you might want to add a layer of white gesso or acrylic paint to paint on top of. This will helps smooth out the surface.

Design:
If required sketch out your desired design on the canvas with a grey pencil and fill in the design in with POSCA markers. For extra fine detail use uni Pin Fine liner to add depth to the artwork.

Fixation:
Once your creation is finished and dry, use a hot hair dryer to help seal the POSCA to the material by blowing over the painted surface and inside the shoe for approximately 1 minute. You can then apply two coats of spray varnish to seal the art work. Hold the can about 30cm from the surface, spray in slow circular movements and allow to dry. Then seal with a waterproof shoe spray, by applying the same procedure as the spray varnish.
