2-Day Portrait Painting from Life Workshop with Mark Feiler | belArts Visual Arts School

In this weekend workshop, you will paint a portrait in oils using a life model in an artful & inspiring setting. You will receive demonstrations, instruction and feedback from experienced artist and art educator, Mark Feiler. You will be using a limited palette for this portrait, and therefore will require minimal oil colours (Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Yellow, Titanium White). About the tutor

Mark Feiler is an experienced art educator and artist. Mark is the recipient of the jealous curator’s choice award for The Kennedy Prize, a prestigious Australian art award for artworks that embody, comment on or celebrate beauty. Mark is greatly inspired by nature, classical art and people in their everyday lives. His work centers around human figures on flat and quiet backgrounds, with an emphasis on characters painted in a crisp way.
