Mud 2 Mug

While the Mud 2 Mug team will happily offer suggestions and
support, the emphasis is on encouraging each child to follow their own creative
spark and make something they’ll be proud of.
Parents, you're welcome too!
Grown-ups can either book a ticket and get hands-on alongside their kids or
simply relax in the studio while the little ones create. You're also welcome to
enjoy a quiet moment in the café or try your hand at painting some pottery
while the class is running. It’s a brilliant way to spend time together or take
a little break.
Painting Your Pottery Pieces
Painting your child’s clay creations is included in the workshop price, giving you the best value and most complete creative experience. You’ve got two options:
Option 1: Paint on the Day
Perfect for busy families – paint your piece during the same session and the Mud 2 Mug team will handle both firings. Your piece will be ready to collect in 6 weeks.
Option 2: Make a Second Day Out of It
Let Mud 2 Mug bisque fire the pottery first, then return to the paint-a-piece studio when it suits you (no booking needed). Add vibrant colours and finishing touches before the final glaze and firing. This option tends to give brighter, bolder results and doubles the fun!
What You’ll Get:
- 500g block of clay
- All tools and materials needed
- Fun decorative tools to personalise your piece
- Step-by-step guidance from an experienced Mud 2 Mug instructor
- First kiln firing of one piece
- Final clear gloss
- Second firing to make your piece food and water safe
- A fun, creative holiday experience to remember
What to Bring:
- Enthusiasm and a playful spirit
- A hair tie for long hair
- Short nails are helpful
- Clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy
