Life Drawing and Long Pose Sessions | belArts

belArts’s weekly life drawing sessions provide a relaxed, social environment to practice drawing the human figure from life. Sessions run for three hours at $80 each, and booking is essential online at belArts appointments or via email at hello@belarts.com.au.

For artists who have drawn the figure many times but want to explore techniques beyond observation, belArts offers tutored life drawing sessions with experienced artist Wayne Van Eyk. These tutored sessions are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month and also run for three hours. Wayne additionally runs a Figure Drawing Fundamentals course on Monday evenings, which can be booked here.

The Long Pose session, held on the first Saturday of every month, gives participants extended time to focus on a single pose. Occasionally, a yoga session is offered beforehand to help artists achieve a calm, focused state ready for creativity. Participants should bring their own drawing materials, and tea, coffee, and conversation are provided during the break.
