About the Tutor

Bronwyn McKean is an artist and educator who runs Earth Stories Art Workshops. These workshops are rooted in a place-based philosophy, meaning each session is crafted to connect participants with the local environment and history of the area where it’s held. Earth Stories offers a variety of art experiences, including drawing, printmaking, mixed media, and painting, and they cater to adults of all skill levels with professional guidance.

The core values of these workshops include fostering creativity, building community, encouraging collaboration, and engaging with the natural world.

Bronwyn has studied Visual Arts and Art Theory at UNSW, Charles Sturt University, and New England TAFE. With over 25 years of experience as a visual arts teacher and artist, she has led numerous public and private workshops, gallery tours, community art projects, and art retreats. Her expeditions have taken participants to locations like Deepwater Station, Waterloo Station NSW, Mt Barney Lodge, Uluru, Kata Tjuta, West MacDonnell Ranges, Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre, and Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre.
