Matisse Fluid Acrylics – High-Intensity Colour in a Liquid Format

Matisse Fluid Acrylics are the most free-flowing paints in the Matisse range – ultra-smooth, highly pigmented, and ideal for artists chasing bold colour with precision control. Now available in compact 36ml bottles, they offer a runny yet dense texture that’s perfect for both detail work and large expressive washes.

Each of the 35 brilliant colours is rated ASTM I or II for Excellent to Very Good lightfastness and dries to a fully opaque, permanent finish when used directly from the bottle. Matisse Fluid paints are completely compatible with Matisse Structure and Flow Formula acrylics, making them perfect for tinting, layering, or use in mixed-media pieces.

Due to their high pigment load, colours appear rich and dark straight from the container, but can be thinned with water to reveal subtle colour transitions. Their drop-by-drop control is especially useful for consistent tinting and colour mixing across projects.
