Give your watercolours room to travel. This panoramic pad turns a wide view into the whole page, with fifteen sheets, each 300gsm and 100% cotton, that take long, even washes from one edge to the other.
Features
- Panoramic format: every sheet is 450 x 150mm, a long shape for beaches, bays, mountain ranges and city skylines.
- 100% cotton: water spreads through it evenly, so washes dry smooth rather than in patches.
- 300gsm weight: sturdy enough for wet in wet work, glazing and lifting.
- 15 sheets: fifteen panoramas, or double that if you paint on both faces.
- Framing: panoramic frames exist, or a regular frame can take a mat cut to the long shape.
Staff tip
Lay the sky in a single pass. Dampen the upper part of the sheet, then brush on your sky colours so they spread along the length before you bring in the land or water. One unbroken band of sky makes a panorama read as a place, not a strip of paper.
Lightly mark the horizon about a third of the page from the top or bottom, never dead centre, then work from big shapes to small. If you expect very wet passes, fix the sheet to a board first.
