Twelve colours, gloves for the whole crew and enough One-Step powder to cover as many as 36 projects. This Tulip kit suits family dye days, parties, school holidays and Christmas gifts for teens and adults. Cotton works best, so shirts, socks, pillowcases and tote bags are good candidates.

- 12 One-Step dyes in 2.75 fl oz (81ml) bottles, in shades from Fuchsia through to Black
- 1 reusable surface cover to protect the table
- 1 inspiration guide
- 40 rubber bands
- 8 rubber gloves
- Powder already in each bottle: add water, shake and dye
- Up to 36 projects, with the count varying by garment size and dye amount
- Cotton and other natural fibres take the dye best. Once set, the result can go through the washing machine.
Staff tip
Leave some white between colours. The brightest results come from folds that are not saturated, so dye lightly.
Prewash the cloth, then dye while it is still damp, and mix only what you will use inside a day. Wrap for 6 to 8 hours before rinsing, and wear gloves throughout.
