Six opaque pastels, including a true white, for lettering and drawing on black paper. The colours are soft, yet they still read clearly on dark stock.

  • Opaque and not fluorescent, so there is no glow under UV
  • Pigment ink that Sakura rate as stable against chemicals, water and fading
  • Pack: six pens, one of each colour, in a reusable wallet
  • 10 Bold tip, 1.0mm ball, giving a consistent heavy monoline
  • Water based pigment gel ink, odourless and made in Japan
  • Supplied through the Australian distributor
  • Suits lettering and journaling on black, plus gel pen work, layering over colour and gifts

Staff tip

Wait for the white to dry fully, then add a second coat along the same line. Going over it twice on black gives a solid white, while a single pass looks grey.

Hand lettering suits them well, since a bold monoline is what modern lettering and envelope addressing need. Press lightly, do your downstrokes first, and leave the joins for last. Gel ink stays on top rather than soaking in, so allow a few seconds more than a ballpoint, and longer again on glossy stock.
