SolarFast is a unique dye that transforms your fabric or paper creations with the power of sunlight. Apply it using a brush, sponge, brayer, or squeegee, then expose your design to sunlight to see the color magically appear! After exposure, wash away the undeveloped dye with SolarFast Wash and hot water, ensuring vigorous agitation. For textiles, machine washing is recommended to complete color development. SolarFast is easy to clean up with water and can be used with all natural fibers including cotton, linen, canvas, silk, hemp, and wood, as well as rag papers. Odourless and safe for children, it’s ideal for creating detailed photographs, photograms, shadow prints, tie-dyeing, screen printing, stamping, and batik. The dye leaves fabric soft and does not affect the texture of paper, making it perfect for mixed-media art. No heat setting or chemical fixing is required.
