Built for flowers and foliage, this set of twelve Premier pencils runs from pomegranate and dusty rose to lemon yellow centres, olive and spring greens, and cool lavender and blue shadows.
Features
- 12 Prismacolor Premier Soft Core pencils with soft, thick, wax based cores
- Four rose and red tones for petals: Pomegranate, Pink, Pink Rose and Pale Vermillion
- Greens for foliage: Olive Green, Spring Green and Grass Green
- Lemon Yellow for centres and light, with Blue Slate, Non Photo Blue, Lavender and Dahlia Purple for shadows and blooms
- Little pressure is needed for strong colour, and a colourless blender smooths the layers
- Best on drawing, Bristol, toned or mixed media paper, since rougher paper can show white flecks in the colour
- Made to the same standard as the 12 pencil Premier tin, in a themed selection
Staff tip
Leaves look best built from three greens. Begin with Spring Green, then add Olive Green where the shade falls and a dash of Blue Slate in the darkest gaps.
Start with a faint Non Photo Blue outline of the bloom, then layer each petal lightly, moving from pale to deep. Keep the paper bare where the highlights go.
