A towering blue wave rises off the wall in layers of wood. This Great Wave kit suits teens and adults who want a calm, artistic build inspired by a classic Japanese woodblock print.
Features
- Finished size 25 x 25cm
- Pre-cut wooden layers that stack into a 3D wave
- Paints, brushes, glue, double sided tape, plus a guide to follow
- Inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa, Hokusai's woodblock print from around 1831
Staff tip
Leave the white foam until the blue beneath it is fully dry, then add it in small dabs with the brush tip. The spray looks crisp and lively that way.
Choose a range of blues, from deep to pale, and shade the layers so the back is darkest.
