Give an oil painter a set they will actually reach for. This wooden box holds four hog bristle brushes from Winsor & Newton's Winton range, a pair of short flats and a pair of rounds, built to push thick oil paint around the canvas.
Features
- Two short flats for blocks of colour and crisp edges, and two rounds that handle blending, glazing and fine lines
- Hog bristle that is stiff and springy, holds plenty of thick paint and snaps back after each stroke
- Made for Winsor & Newton Winton oil colour
- Closed by a brass clasp, the wooden box keeps the tips in shape between sessions
- Solvent or brush cleaner comes first, then warm (not hot) water with mild soap; reshape the bristles and dry flat
- Expect small changes in size or box design from one year to the next
Staff tip
Before the first use, work a little oil paint into the heel of a new hog brush and wipe it out. That keeps the bristle conditioned and stops paint hardening in the ferrule later.
Winsor & Newton dates back to London in 1832, and Art Shed is an authorised Australian stockist, so these brushes are genuine stock. We ship across Australia.
